The final meeting of the PELMOB project, which included the PELMOB Fair, took place at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of “Džemal Bijedić” in Mostar on October 21st, 2025. The PELMOB Fair gathered numerous partners, teachers, students, and guests from both the country and abroad.
At the opening of the event, Prof. Dr. Đani Rahimić, Chairman of the City Council of Mostar, and Prof. Dr. Rijad Novaković, Vice-Rector for International and Inter-University Cooperation of the University of “Džemal Bijedić” in Mostar, addressed the attendees. The speakers emphasized the significance of the PELMOB project in strengthening collaboration between the academic community, the local community, and the economic sector, and praised the results achieved during its three-year implementation. Speaking on behalf of the partner institutions, the project coordinator, Prof. Dr. Nebojša Arsić, Rector of the University of Pristina based in Kosovska Mitrovica (UPKM), stated that the University actively follows modern trends in higher education and, together with its project partners, has achieved outstanding results. Following the introductory speeches, Dr. Aleksandra Petrović, UPKM, presented the project’s results in more detail to the students and stakeholders, highlighting the importance of applying the project’s results even after its completion and that the partnerships achieved through the signing of MoUs with stakeholders will significantly contribute to this. In addition, she emphasized that the project is highly beneficial for students and the community because it includes education in the field of electromobility, which today is one of the recognizable needs of modern society, primarily the labor market and a condition for its further progress. Prof. Dr. Osman Lindov’s UNSA presentation, “State and perspectives of EM in WB countries,” provided an overview of the current status of electric mobility in the Western Balkan countries. The presentation reviewed and identified trends, regional challenges, and offered insights into the future potential of EM adoption and growth within the region.
After the formal addresses and presentations, the second part of the PELMOB Fair continued in the yard of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at UDBM, where participants had the opportunity to attend presentations of electric vehicles in collaboration with Auto Nuić doo and other innovative solutions developed within the project. This was the most attractive part of the event was the PELMOB FAIR, where all interested parties had the opportunity to test drive electric vehicles and learn about the project’s results. Project partners, including renowned brands such as Auto Nuić and Toyota Hybrid School, also participated.
On the other hand, project partners had their own stands where they displayed materials created within the PELMOB project, as well as the PELMOB monograph, so that all interested parties could obtain detailed information directly from the project partners about the project, study programs developed within the project, opportunities for student exchange, etc. This event attracted great attention from those present and served as an example of the practical application of knowledge and technologies that are the result of the joint work of the partner institutions.
